Located in an over 4ha area, Vietnam museum of ethnography opened in late 1977. Since its inception, it has really drawn the attention of many tourists as well as domestic and international researchers in cultural, ethnographic fields.
Museum of ethnography Hanoi stores 10,000 objects, 15,000 black and white photos, hundreds of video tapes, cassettes reflecting all aspects of life and living, customs and practices of the 54 ethnic groups across Vietnam.
The museum consists of three main exhibition areas: the exhibition in Bronze Drum building, outdoor exhibition area and Southeast Asia exhibition area.
