1. How to travel to Cu Lao Cham island?

By canoe: It will cost you 150.000 VND/person (~6.8 USD), tickets are sold at Cua Dai Beach or the travel agents in Hoi An. It will take you about 20 minutes to travel to the island. The departure time is from 8 a.m – 10.30 a.m.

By woody ships: 30.000 VND/ person (~1.4 USD), and 80.000 VND/ person (~3.6 USD) with a motorcycle. You can buy ticket at Bach Dang Wharf at 7a.m or Cua Dai Wharf at 8a.m.

2. Travel vehicles in Cu Lao Cham island

The most popular and convenient vehicle in the island is motorcycle with the rent of 80.000 – 200.000 VND/ day (~3.6-9 USD).

In addition, like many other Vietnam destinations of sea, you can travel by boat with the ticket price of 500.000 – 1.500.000 VND/ slot (~22.7-68 USD). Boats often offer tourists with coral diving services.

3. Where to stay?

Lodgings here are mainly homestays at Bai Lang, Bai Huong. A room for two will cost you 150.000 VND (~6.8 USD). The rent price for a person is about 50.000-100.000 VND (~2.3-4.5 USD).

Note: Bai Lang dock is the landing for wooden ships, Bai Huong is for canoes. Depending on your transportation, you can choose to stay near the respective dock.

Located in Bai Huong, the shrine was completely built in the beginning of the 19th century as a place to worship the ancestor of Salangane nest exploitation job. On the March 10th of lunar year, local residents and salangane nest exploiters hold big solemnity in preparation for a new exploiting season.
